1.3 Psionics Requirements Notes
-------------------------------
Some of the moves (notably Perception & Sight) will slow down some machines due to the nature of their implementation. To fix this you can either get better hardware or turn down some options. This release was tested on a 2.0Ghz centrino processor with 1GB RAM and 256 Nvidia Geforece Go 6800 with only slight problems at full settings.

==================================================================
 2 Setup
==================================================================

2.1 Installing the files to your hard drive
-------------------------------------------
Unzip to the UT2004 folder of your hard drive (default C:\UT2004)
To check successful installation make sure the following are correctly placed:
  - System\MutPsychicPowers.u
  - System\MutPsychicPowers.ucl
  - System\MutPsychicPowers.int
The Help documents should be installed under the Help folder
  - Help\PsionicsMutator\Psionics_CD_Insert_Manual.doc
  - Help\PsionicsMutator\Psionics_Manual.pdf
  - Help\PsionicsMutator\ReleaseNotes.txt

Note that you will need the unrealextension.u, unrealextension.ucl and unrealextension.int as well to run the mutator. These are availiable from the impact interactive website (impactinteractive.googlepages.com/unrealextension.html)

2.2  Binding Keys
-----------------
You will need to bind two keys (settings->input->configure keys)
 Change/Secondary - Change move or use secondary
 Psionic - Use a move

2.3  Activating the mutator
---------------------------
Select Host or Instant Action
Select the Game type
Go to the 'mutators' tab
Select 'Psionics' and place it in the active list

==================================================================
 2 Troubleshooting
==================================================================

3.1 Network play issues
-----------------------

The minimum speed connection for acceptable Internet play performance is
a 33.3K modem connection to your Internet Service Provider.

Known network play issues:

  * Some moves requiring rendering may have a 1 second delay before showing any
    visible effect, this delay depends on the time it takes for the server to replicate
    the appropriate information to the client. This delay is normal.

  * Some moves may perform slightly differently in mutilplayer than they do single player. This is largely due to unaviodable replication issues and any differences are negligeble if present.

3.2 Known Problems
------------------
This is a common problem that seems to spike up at random. It seems to only affect clients but is a mortal error. From the stack trace it appears to have something to do with effects and death.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 1997 MHz with 1023MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 (6771)

General protection fault!

History: SkeletalMeshGet <- USpriteEmitter::UpdateParticles <- AEmitter::Tick <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=3) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Albatross <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I read somewhere that this issue should have been fixed in one of the patches. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

3.3 Documentation
-----------------
Included in the Help section of the UT2004 folder is:
  - Psionics_Manual.pdf - An A5 manual for the psionics mutator
  - Release Notes - You're reading it
