| UTILITY: This package was built with UT2K4VoicePackager by Paul Catalano (www.xgxlan.com/vp) |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

TO INSTALL MANUALLY:
Place all files in the System directory of Unreal Tournament 2004.
Place the .txt (readme) file wherever you like readmes to go.

RELEASE VERSION 1 CHANGELOG:
- Volume and tone tweaks, especially on Female1, who needed more emphasis.
- All unused/unassociated/null taunts removed and left blank, except for
	"I'm on offense/defense," which is associated with "I'm in position" sound.
- Added Male1's 5th ack "I'm on it," and second cover "I've gotcha covered."
	Removed his null "Man down" and "Incoming."

VERSION 0.7b CHANGELOG:
- Format changed from 16 bit to 8 bit, halving file sizes, with minimal or no quality loss.
- Resampled Boss and Female1 to improve sound quality.
- Removed blank or redundant 2004 specific taunts from the 'other' category such as:
	'Attack Alpha'
- Removed redundant 3rd Friendly Fire.

USE:
Bring up UT2004 and select the player settings page. If the files were installed in the
proper folder (it would be hard to miss but hey, it happens) then you will be able to select:
ClassicBossv1c 			(male cahracters)
ClassicFemale1v1c		(female characters)
ClassicFemale2v1c		(female characters)
ClassicMale1v1c			(male characters)
ClassicMale2v1c			(male characters)

During net-play, you may be able to hear these taunts, but others on the server must have
these same files as well in order to hear them. Some servers will force the default taunt
pack.

WARNING:
Some servers which run security mods will kick you for using ANY non-standard voicepack.
If this happens, just switch back to a default voice and reconnect.

SERVER HOSTING:
To host a server using these packages, server admins can add the following lines to the
UT2004.ini file found in the System directory of Unreal Tournament 2004, under the section
[Engine.GameEngine]

ServerPackages=UTCVBossv1c
ServerPackages=UTCVFemale1v1c
ServerPackages=UTCVFemale2v1c
ServerPackages=UTCVMale1v1c
ServerPackages=UTCVMale2v1c

DESCRIPTION:
Boss, Female1, Female2, Male1, and Male2 voices were converted from the original
Unreal Tournament for use in UT2004. Since the UT command and response system varies from that
of UT2004, some alterations were made:

Primary acknowledgement (Affirmative) has been filled with a buzz-in, copied from Male1's acks.
'Negative' replaced with 'Objective destroyed'
'We're being overrun' replaced with 'Hang in there'
'Get the ball' replaced with 'Engage according to operational parameters'
'Take point Alpha/Bravo' replaced with 'You got point.'

Taunts were ordered according to 2004 usage. If you have taunts bound, they should be the same,
providing the old UT version even had it, the above changes being the major exceptions. You'll
noitce alot of the UT2003/2004 taunts aren't in the old voices.

Note that bots in Bombing Run improperly use CTF taunts even for default voicepacks
(not my fault).

Using UT2K4VoicePackager was a dream. The program rocks. Thanks again, Paul.

Enough talk... now get in that Scorpion, jump a river and yell YEEHAW!
-Switch
