Section #1: Introduction

Well Ive been working on this vehicle for quite some time now, and I finally
feel like it's ready for a beta release. It is infact a darkwalker 'inspired'
walker tripod vehicle! I've put a lot of love into this project, 
I hope you guys like it. I also would like to give credit to 
A1 Free Sound Effects for the leg landing sound effect, duely appreciated.

Section #2: Instructions

Simply extract the zip file into your ut2004 root. All files should go into
their respective folders by virtue of this process without your manual labour.
For referencial purposes, the files inside the zip are organized by which 
folder they need to go into in ut2004.

I don't recommend summoning this vehicle as the Karma engine corrupts the
IK registration process (I speculate). Instead, use a vehicle replacer to
replace map vehicles with the strider; if you don't have one, use worm2k4.
I always use it to replace vehicles, you can get it from BuF here:

For a good test, try replacing the scorpion with the goliath and the hellbender
with the strider on ONS-Ascendancy. Add lotsa bots, it's very fun!

Section #3: Version History

1.1 -Added leg landing camera shake in Blackstrider class.
    
    -Implemented Xyx's vehicle replacer and blatantly called it
     "Blackstrider Vehicle Replacer" :p
    
    -Use three staggered averaged diagonal traces (1 per tick) as opposed 
     to one straight trace to calculate Z height. -IMPROVE, it did not have
     the effect desired, walker still seems to get caught by random spikes/walls/etc...
     Z-velocity has now been dramatically lowered and the catching issue is resolved.

    -Slow down the movement of the main turret. -DEPRECATED, sped movement
     back up.

    -Improved beam jumpiness by reseting beam end point every tick.

    -Changed the look of the damage fires making them prettier 
     (rotating sprites, random subdivision, etc).

    -Added lasting fire effect to the beam impact explosion.

    -Added lasting fire hurt projectile to beam impact explosion.

    -Firing is changed, now the beam charges up after it is triggered and fires
     right after.

    -Spawn a beam charge emitter coupled with a beam charge up sound when 
     the beam begins to charge. -FIXME, I need a better chargeup sound.

    -Add a "sparkling" effect for when the beam is NOT connecting to anything.
     -IMPROVED:removed the sparkle, now the beam is very thin when not
               connected to anything.

    -Put a (random) pause between strides. -No longer viable, in order
     to be network compatible this has been removed.

    -Changed the striding system. Based it on leg extension
     as opposed to velocity.

    -Remodeled legs and created new dead legs.

    -Retouched death explosion overall and made longer.

    -Created proper leg stepping and landing sound effects.

    -Raised stand height and crouch height to better accomodate much longer legs.

    -Increase health to match increased stature (increased to 1800).

    -Fixed AVRiL heals strider glitch.

    -Fixed bot support, thanks to .:..:, thank you so much buddy!

    -Fixed human players cannot enter issue.

1.0 -Beta Release! Expect huge performance issues due to the model being
     extremely detailed.

Standard movement controls, press crouch to crouch--duh

Main Turret:

Primary Fire fires beam cannons
Secondary Fire zooms in

Secondary Turret:

Primary Fire fires plasma shots
Secondary Fire zooms in

Section #5: To Be Done

-Network testing, this release is NOT network tested and thus 
 use at your own RISK over the net
-Enhance walking algorithm and fix leg clipping problems or target loss
 problems that sometimes arise
-Produce ut2004-ready "low poly" ingame model as opposed to the currently
 used "art" model
-Kill some tanks? lol

This is a free non-commercial project, it is copyrighted to ME! mwahahaha!
Ask for my permission if you want to use it in your mod or anything really, 
Ill probably say yes :)

Again the leg landing sound effect is 
freely distributed by A1 Free Sound Effects,
all other sound effects are either remixed or non-remixed ut2004 sounds.

The vehicle replacer mutator is provided care of Xyx, thanks dude,
